Hello, I'm Kirsty, and I am the Managing Director of The Nurture Cove and Scribbles Day Nursery Group.

I have over 35 years experience in Early Years, once managing a large corporate chain of nurseries and now owning my very own group of settings. I can honestly say, it is still my passion, giving me a never-ending source of goosebump moments.

I still get that thrill of seeing a child take their first step, an apprentice achieving their qualification, a student having a lightbulb moment or a team succeed in gaining an understanding of for example curriculum planning.

My passion lies in early intervention, truly believing the earlier we intervene in a child’s maturation, the better the outcome for them and their families.

​

My career is varied but childcare has always been at the very core; 

From lecturing in higher education, to assessing and internal verification for early years vocations. I have enjoyed various roles with day nurseries and I work closely with the Department for Education, consulting with South London settings to bring them up to a good OFSTED rating.

I absolutely love collaborating with professionals, seeking learning opportunities alongside providing training, coaching and support. Studying theories of childcare is a hobby of mine, I also love a good Ted Talk and hope to one day have my moment to inspire others.
